Something mean is posted every 60 seconds, so Champions Against Bullying has created a Twitter bot that’s delivering kindness to randomly selected users every 30 seconds. It’s pairing 1 compliment with 1 newly selected Twitter user each time, Tweeting the positive message directly at them. The NiceBot is the only automation exemption Twitter has ever allowed.
In addition to living on Twitter, we 3D printed physical NiceBots and sent them to celebrity influencers who have taken a stand against bullying. Each NiceBot is powered by a Raspberry Pi and 4G enabled, displaying all of the nice Tweets as they go out in real time.
We’ve organically reached over 14 million people in 142 different countries, with 340,000 engagements, over 250,000 mentions and an amazing 99% positive response rate. The NiceBot is still going strong on its mission to spread kindness to every single user on Twitter. All 320 million of them.
